Fujitsu LifeBook TH700

Fujitsu LifeBook TH700
The Fujitsu LifeBook TH700 is part of a large family of tablet PCs the company designs and manufactures, making it the best tablet PC on the market. When the LifeBook TH700 tablet PC was introduced recently, it was without much fanfare, as the higher-end and pricier LifeBook T900 essentially was stealing the limelight. From professionals to college students and home users, anyone would enjoy using the TH700.
One thing we find a bit strange is how Fujitsu sells their line of tablet PCs. See below in Help & Support about their warranties, too.
Working with the LifeBook TH700 is fairly easy and straightforward. As we detail below in Design, it’s like working with a great laptop and a tablet running a full version of Windows 7 64-bit home premium. The TH700 features an elegant and modern look. Like all other tablet PCs, when the unit is closed, it looks like a standard laptop. The 12.1” LED screen is bright and based on WXGA technology, with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 (16 x 10 aspect ratio). The dimensions are 11.69 inches wide, 9.17 inches deep and 1.51 inches tall when the screen is closed. It’s a little thick compared to similar units. The system weighs 4.2 pounds but can weigh more if other features are added.
This unit is built for fast computing. Intel HD Graphics are built in, giving the display a wide array of colors, crisp images and impressive graphics.
The two popular modern operating systems, Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) require a hefty amount of RAM, 2GB for the 64-bit Windows 7 (1GB for the 32-bit version) and 1GB for Snow Leopard. These are minimum requirements, so it’s great to see 4GB of RAM included with the TH700.
Is the warranty price worked into the cost of other models? Help and support services include phone and email contact, live chat, user forums to connect with other consumers and tech support specialists, a user manual and a FAQs/Knowledge Base. Fujitsu’s tech support gets fair-to-good marks overall, according to recent reviews by business ratings services.
Despite the lack of fanfare when it was announced, the Fujitsu LifeBook TH700 is the best tablet PC we reviewed, loaded with an Intel Core i3-350M processor, 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a sleek 12.1-inch LED display and much more.
