Fujitsu LifeBook T900

The Fujitsu LifeBook T900 sports a fast Intel Core i5 processor and the largest screen on our lineup of tablet PCs, at 13.3 inches. Equipped with the Windows 7 OS, this device is no harder – though no simpler – to use than competing tablet PCs. Windows 7 wasn't designed for touchscreen use; at times, using the tablet PC can feel a bit cumbersome. Fujitsu laptops are reputably well built, and the LifeBook T900 is no exception. The 13.3-inch WXGA LED display is beautiful and by far the largest screen on our lineup of tablet PCs. One of the LifeBook T900's standout features is its speedy 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-520M processor with Turbo Boost Technology, featuring two cores and four threads. You can customize this tablet by adding a Core i7-620M (dual core) for an additional cost.
Unfortunately, we were less than impressed with its other power components, including the 2GB of DDR3 1066 MHz SDRAM and 160GB, 5400rpm hard drive. Windows 7 Professional (32-bit) requires at least 1GB of RAM, so the 2GB option won't make the system run faster. Input and output ports include USB, FireWire (iLink IEEE 1394), Ethernet, VGA, a PC ExpressCard Slot, a memory card reader and audio jacks. Fujitsu's tech support is good overall, and support options include toll-free telephone and email contact, and live chat. We especially liked the user forums.
