ASUS U36JC-NYC2 13.3" Notebook Computer (Black) is a compact notebook computer with a streamlined aluminum chassis. The system is built with portability in mind. It is less than an inch thin when closed and weighs a scant 3.7 pounds. What's more, it can run for up to 10 hours on a single charge, thanks to an 8-cell battery and the ASUS Super Hybrid Engine power management system.

Graphics are handled by an nVIDIA/Intel hybrid system. The computer uses a dedicated nVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics card with 1GB of dedicated memory when performance is required. It switches to integrated Intel GMA HD graphics during normal operation in order to extend battery life.

The computer is powered by a dual-core 2.66GHz Intel Core i5-480M processor, which can be overclocked to 2.93GHz, thanks to Intel Turbo Boost technology. It boasts 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB 5400rpm hard drive, a multi-in-1 media card reader, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 support, an integrated webcam and microphone as well as built-in Altec Lansing stereo speakers. Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.
