The Pentax Q Digital Camera with 8.5mm Lens is a small, lightweight interchangeable lens cam with the look and feel of a rangefinder, but many of the capabilities of a DSLR. Whatever you call it, the facts are this ladies and gentlemen, the Q captures in 12.4Mp RAW or JPEG files using it's 1/2.3" CMOS sensor. The Pentax Optio WG-2 Digital Camera is the company's 13th generation of the "rugged", life-proof camera line. You don't have to be an extreme adventure enthusiast to appreciate the features of the WG-2 though. Phew! That's a lot of safety built-into one little point-and-shoot.
More than being a tough camera that can stand up to intentional or unintentional abuses, the Optio WG-2 is also one great image-maker. The Optio has a number of respectable specs in that department, to help you capture the decisive moment with clarity, and ease. The backlit 16Mp CMOS sensor provides high-res stills and full HD 1080p video at 30 fps. A wide-angle 5x internal optical zoom lens with a 28-140mm (35mm equivalent) focal length lets you capture subjects near and far, and features like image stabilization help to do so as well. Additional tools for impressive image-capture include the generous 3.0" LCD display, the ring of 6 LED lights on the lens for even lighting of macro shots, a built-in flash, and a bevy of auto shooting modes.
